ANNUAL BENEFIT RAFFLE

We are excited to announce our annual fundraiser and raffle. We have some great prizes listed below!

Greetings Friends and Neighbors!

The Londonderry Rescue Squad (LVRS) had quite a busy year, responding to over 650 calls thanks to our many volunteers. Our members are highly trained, dedicated, and committed to answering calls when we are needed most.

You might be interested to learn that:

  • We are the last ambulance service in Vermont that does not bill or charge our patients for transports or services.
  • Our members have given emergency care to patients including prehospital IVs, cardiac defibrillations, and life-saving medications—almost entirely in a moving ambulance.
  • Between responding to 911 calls and attending meetings and trainings, our members dedicated over 10,000 hours of totally volunteer labor.
  • Eight of our members who can respond quickly to calls from wherever they are, now carry an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) to save time delivering care until the ambulance arrives.
  • This past year our members called for the DHART helicopter transport seven times with a paramedic intercept only four of those times as some members of the squad are now paramedics.
  • There are ten students currently taking the Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) class with three of those upgrading their LVRS license.
  • We continue to teach CPR/First Aid to the squad members, three ski patrols and Mountain Valley Health Center staff as well as first aid to four local schools and and business that requests it.

LVRS depends on the generosity of our donors to help us help you. If you have donated in the past, thank you: we hope you will continue your support. If you have never given before we hope you will consider donating
